The United States Dressage Federation is the only national membership organization dedicated to Dressage, a method of horse training in existence since ancient Greece, and an Olympic sport since the inception of the modern Olympics in the late 1800ās. The USDF has divided the United States into nine regions in order to help serve the membership better. Region 8 has one of the largest memberships, including the largest single chapter GMO (Group Member Organization), the New England Dressage Association.
A Regional Director is elected (as a volunteer) and is the region’s advocate, supervises regional activities and events, and provides an informational guide to the region. However, the Regional Directors need to communicate with their members. Here in Region 8, we use this website, Facebook, and three meetings, with ones in Spring and Fall in the region, and one at the USDF convention in December.
